USS George HW Bush Arrives in Indian Ocean

U.S. Central Command announced that the USS George H.W. Bush aircraft carrier has arrived in the Indian Ocean this week to support U.S. forces in the Middle East.

For the first time in decades, three aircraft carriers are operating in the Middle East at the same time. Accompanied by their carrier air wings, the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) and USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) include over 200 aircraft, 12 ships and 15,000 Sailors and Marines.

The U.S. Navy is currently enforcing a blockade of ships heading in and out of Iran. So far, 34 vessels have been redirected from entering or leaving Iran.
